Biologen and Herdla are perfect for celebrating weddings, with their unique atmosphere and beautiful natural landscape. As hosts, we consider it an honor to contribute to creating a personal and beautiful setting for our guests. We are beautifully located at the edge of the sea on Askøy, just a short drive from Bergen city center and Bergen Airport.

Scenic surroundings embrace the wedding venue, and the historic main building itself is a hundred years old. The new glass building opened in the winter of 2022. This is the perfect setting for a memorable celebration of love!

Wedding package

Canapés before dinner.
3-course dinner - customized to your wishes.
Venue rental includes white tablecloths, cloth napkins, candles, and standard flowers.
Bring your own cakes and coffee/tea buffet.
Price: NOK 1495 per person.

Maximum capacity for dinner is 70 people.

Standard wine package NOK 895 per person.
6 servings.

Upgraded wine package NOK 1295 per person.
6 servings.

Aperitif, mineral water, apple juice, beer, digestifs, and other drinks are additional. You pay per bottle/unit served.

Wedding ceremony setup NOK 5000. Venue rental indoor or outdoor, red carpet, table for officiant.
Chair rental NOK 50 each.


A total of 35 rooms:
Single room from NOK 1690 per night, including breakfast
Double room from NOK 2090 per night, including breakfast
Mini-suite NOK 3490 per night, including breakfast (we have one mini-suite)
When reserving a wedding dinner, a minimum booking of 20 rooms for overnight stay is required.

Would you like a completely private celebration?
Rent the entire Biologen, including the outdoor area - from 3:00 PM on the arrival day to 12:00 PM on the departure day.
Total price is NOK 325,000 per night, including all rooms (maximum 69 people for overnight stay) and wedding dinner for up to 70 people.
All drinks are additional.

General Cancellation/Reduction Terms:

A deposit of NOK 50,000 must be paid no later than 12 weeks before the arrival date.
All cancellations and changes must be communicated to the company in writing to be valid.
Cancellation policies must be communicated to the customer at the time of booking. Cancellation of the entire event must be made in writing 16 weeks before the arrival date to be free of charge.

50% of the event can be canceled up to 8 weeks before the arrival date. If no reductions have been made earlier, the following can be applied:

30% reduction - up to 4 weeks before arrival
10% reduction - up to 2 weeks before arrival
5% reduction - up to 1 week before arrival

This assumes that earlier cancellation deadlines have not been used.

No reductions can be made later than 1 week before arrival. For cancellation of rooms later than the above deadlines, or departure before the booked date, the customer will be charged 100% of the agreed price for the room and board for the booked number of nights. The above cancellation deadlines also apply to other goods and services that are canceled. Cancellation on the arrival day or no-show will be charged 100% of the agreed price for the entire stay.
