Biologen Herdla offers 35 newly renovated rooms of high standard with fantastic beds to sleep in. The beds are designed by Halvor Bakke himself.

The Brinkmann House
It is a private guesthouse situated right next to the hotel, offering a unique accommodation experience in peaceful and inspiring surroundings.
Experience the history and charm of Brinkmann-huset, named after the renowned Danish-Norwegian zoologist August Brinkmann, who led the biological station at Herdla from 1921.
Here you get a rare combination of comfort and history – with panoramic views of the sea and closeness to the nature that once inspired one of Norway's foremost zoologists.
The house has two bedrooms with double beds and one with single beds, a lounge with TV, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, as well as a boutique bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
The Brinkmann House
Be enchanted by the history and charm of the Brinkmann House! This charming house, named after the renowned Danish-Norwegian zoologist August Brinkmann, offers a unique accommodation experience right next to the hotel. August Brinkmann, a distinguished researcher and a key figure in the development of zoological studies in Norway, managed the biological station at Herdla from 1921. His contributions to science and his dedication to research are reflected in the peaceful and inspiring environment that surrounds the Brinkmann House.
