Transport to Herdla
Biologen Herdla, where modern comfort meets historic charm.
There are many routes to Bergen's finest island.
Car
The trip to Herdla takes about 45 minutes from downtown Bergen by car. You follow Rv 555 to Storavatnet and then turn off towards Askøy. After about 27 km along Fv 562, you cross the bridge between Askøy and Herdla. Follow Fv 562 all the way to Biologen.
From Bergen Airport Flesland, it is 45 km to Herdla. Drive out from the airport road to Rv580, continue onto Fyllingsdalsveien and then follow Sotraveien and over the Askøy Bridge, then drive Fv 562 all the way to Biologen.
The hotel has parking facilities available for guests.
Bus
You can also reach Herdla by taking bus no. 499 from the Bus Station; the journey takes about an hour. Board at the bus station, platform F, right next to the light rail track. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to Biologen from the final stop.
Boat
We have our own dock where you can moor if you arrive by boat. The dock has a depth of 3 meters, and the size of the boat that can moor depends on the weather; in calm conditions, we can accommodate boats up to 80 feet. There is also a public quay in Herdlevågen. The boat trip from Bergen to Herdla takes about an hour.
If you have time, we recommend taking the trip to us in a vintage boat, which takes about 2 hours.
We collaborate with Øygarden Opplevelser and Maritime Tours, who can arrange both transportation and various activities.
